Join us for a killer night of comedy and rub shoulders with the Festival’s stars.
The bro-mance that is Ben Hurley & Steve Wrigley host Last Laughs, bringing you the best comedy sets from the Festival’s award nominees in a two-hour comedy blowout to end the Comedy Festival.
It’ll be rammed with show-stopping performances by the Billy T Award Nominees and finalists for the Fred Award (Best New Zealand Show), and surprise special guests. Judging will happen on the night, so be there to witness the awarding of the the legendary Fred Gumboot and Billy T Yellow Towel.

The Billy T Award
Named in honour of New Zealand’s best-loved comedian, Billy T James, the Billy T Awards are an initiative of the New Zealand Comedy Trust that aims to encourage the continued growth of outstanding comedy in New Zealand.
The objective of the award is to recognise and support up-and-coming kiwi comics with outstanding potential, and commitment to their comedy career.
This year’s nominees are Eli Mathewson, Joseph Moore, Pax, Rose Matafeo and Tom Furniss. Click here for details on the 2013 nominees.

The Fred Award
The Fred Award is named in honour of ex-pat comedy icon John Clarke’s legendary kiwi character Fred Dagg. The award recognises the best Festival show by a New Zealand performer. The Fred Award shortlist is announced on Saturday 18 May – keep your eyes peeled!
