FROM THE DESK OF...

From the Desk of Luke Heggie

Posted by Luke Heggie On the 16th April 2013 Back I once rode my bicycle around New Zealand just so I could take photos of myself in front of big stuff, like the big gumboot at Taihape; the gumboot capital of the world. I also wanted to run over some possums.

This time I'm coming to New Zealand to perform in the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. My show is called Mega Dry and it's about working in a bottle shop and dealing with the general public all day every day. It wasn't ideal, because I don't particularly like people.

I'm looking forward to seeing the FanFiction kids again, and also internationals Idiots of Ants, Jack Dee and Gordon Southern.

I'm coming to Auckland only, and have started posting requests for a couch on couchsurfing.com.

I've only couchsurfed once before and woke up to my host standing at the end of the futon. He appeared to have really itchy genitals, and must have wanted to ask my advice and forgot that I was asleep. It was a bit embarrassing, but more so for him as he'd forgotten to get dressed before he came out to the lounge room.

I'm pretty jazzed about coming to the NZICF, and even though nobody knows who I am, am hopeful that some people will turn up to my show.

That is all.
