Boy With Tape, Dr Brown, Jarred Christmas & Stuart Goldsmith are up for Chortle Awards

The shortlists for this year’s
Chortle Awards in the UK has been announced, with two kiwis and four of the comedians coming to this year's NZ International Comedy Festival.
Several comics are up for two awards, including
Dr Brown,
The Boy With Tape On His Face,
Louis CK,
Tony Law,
Richard Herring,
Alex Horne’s Horne Section and
Sam Bain and
Jesse Armstrong - whose Channel 4 shows
Peep Show and
Fresh Meat are both up for the TV Award.
The shortlists were drawn up by a panel of comedy reviewers, and are now decided by a public vote. The polls are open now and close at 10am on March 6.
The winners will be announced at a central London ceremony on March 25, to be hosted by
Jo Brand.
