2025 Billy T Award Applications

Kia ora Comedy whānau!

Named in honour of one of New Zealand’s best-loved comedians, William James Te Wehi Taitoko MBE, the Billy T Award is an initiative of the New Zealand Comedy Trust that aims to recognise and support up-and-coming Kiwi comedians with outstanding potential and commitment to their comedy career.

Applications for the 2025 Award are now closed.

The judging panel consists of industry professionals from a range of relevant fields and experience. The panel is appointed by New Zealand Comedy Trust staff and will be announced prior to the pitching session & showcase.

Pitching and showcase will be at The Wintergarden (The Civic) on Saturday 21st September in Tāmaki Makaurau. Tickets to the showcase available HERE!
