The New Zealand Comedy Trust was established in 1995 to manage the NZ International Comedy Festival and foster the growth of comedy as a performing art in New Zealand. The Comedy Fest has since grown into one of the most loved boutique events of its type in the world. Held simultaneously over three weeks in May in both Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland and Pōneke/Wellington.
As our Ticketing Coordinator, you will be part of a busy team responsible for the smooth running of the 2025 Comedy Festival. This is a varied and fast-paced role, and you will be involved in all aspects of ticketing for the Festival, as well as providing support for the wider team. You will be the main contact for all artist queries, and will assist with contracts, ticketing, event planning and general office duties.
The position of Ticketing Coordinator is a fixed term contract covering the period of early Jan to early July and is responsible for coordinating all ticketing requirements across several ticketing platforms for the 2025 Festival and related New Zealand Comedy Trust events. It is a varied and fast-paced role, as you will be the main contact for all ticketing queries.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with ticketing agents, performers, producers, venues, sponsors, media and judges to ensure all aspects of ticketing for the NZ International Comedy Festival is smooth, accurate and an efficient process for stakeholders and audience.
- Ensure all ticketing data is captured to maximise audience development opportunties.
- Coordination of all Festival shows box office settlements.
- Accurate, concise administration within the responsibilities of the positon.
- Be the go-to person for artists, promotors and other key stakeholders regarding all ticketing requirements associated with the Festival.
Ideally you will already have experience across numerous ticketing platforms, a great eye for detail, good understanding of Excel, thrive under pressure and are keen to be part of a small collaborative team to make great stuff happen.
