Baduzzi
Baduzzi is a unique Italian inspired eatery helping make Wynyard Quarter a great destination for dining. In the video below, celebrity restauranteur Michael Dearth shares the inspiration for his popular restaurant: a dedication to authentic home-made cuisine crafted with locally sourced ingredients.
The Sicilian word for 'meatballs,' Baduzzi is the fine collaboration between Michael Dearth, owner of The Grove, and its executive chef Ben Bayly.
The inspiration, Michael says, comes from his childhood and teenage years, and growing up in the United States where his Southern Italian mother always had a pot of meatballs on the stove.
The pair promise dishes that are familiar yet challenging. Casual and affordable, but with an air of sophistication and New-York Italian.
The menu features meatball dishes (of course), fresh seafood, pasta, and many other delicious items. An extensive wine list also complements the menu.
Baduzzi is open for lunch and dinner until late. Enjoy the tiramisu for dessert - it is the perfect end to a dining experience at this award winning Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
