Te Auaha - Tapere Nui

We’re stoked to bring the Comedy Fest back to Te Auaha this year. Te Auaha - the New Zealand Institute of Creativity, opened in 2018 and is a state-of-the-art, six-storey creative hub in a prime spot on the corner of Cuba and Dixon Streets. Te Auaha is home to multiple fabulous venues including two theatres – Tapere Nui and Tapere Iti, a gallery, cinema, bar, and more!

There’s a brilliant line-up of comedy for the Festival at Te Auaha, with top Kiwi talent as well as world-famous international comedians.  Tapere Nui is the ‘Big Theatre’ of Te Auaha, and home to some of the biggest comedy headliners in Wellington this Festival.

As well as being one of Wellington’s hottest venues, Te Auaha is a world-class tertiary education institution delivering leading programmes in creativity and innovation, creating a vibrant creative hub in the heart of the city.  Make sure you make it to a show at Te Auaha, it’s a must see!
